Aston Martin & Brough Superior unveil limited-edition AMB 002 Roadster

Aston Martin and Brough Superior have revealed the AMB 002 Roadster, the first motorcycle created specifically for road use as part of a collaboration that has already produced two exclusive track machines. The new roadster follows the AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, launched in 2019 and 2022 respectively, but has been developed from the ground up rather than adapted from either model. Production will be restricted to just 300 motorcycles, with the first deliveries expected in the third quarter of 2027.

At the centre of the AMB 002 is a new 1,083cc water-cooled V-twin producing 130bhp and 110Nm of torque. The engine has been developed to deliver strong low- and mid-range performance while retaining its ability to build speed towards the top of the rev range.

Brough Superior has paired the engine with a lightweight titanium frame machined from a solid billet. The frame weighs 5kg and forms part of the motorcycle’s distinctive backbone structure. Carbon-fibre bodywork and the fuel tank help keep the centre of gravity low, while the complete motorcycle weighs 190kg and has a 50:50 weight distribution.

The suspension is equally unconventional. At the front, the AMB 002 uses Brough Superior’s double-wishbone Fior fork, separating steering and braking forces while aiming to maintain stability and precise front-end control. The system is an evolution of the technology used on the AMB 001 Pro.

Visually, the motorcycle carries clear Aston Martin influences. Its sculpted carbon-fibre surfaces, side-strake treatment, twin oval exhausts and rear light blades draw on design details associated with Aston Martin’s road cars and hypercars. Luxury touches include a hand-crafted leather seat, keyless functionality and a backlit ignition button.

The AMB 002 Roadster will be hand-built at Brough Superior’s facility in Toulouse, France. Orders are now open, although its limited production means this is aimed firmly at collectors as well as riders looking for an unusually engineered road motorcycle.
