Abseil off Tottenham stadium for charity
London Ambulance Charity is calling on Londoners looking for a thrill to abseil 42 metres off one of the capital’s most famous football stadiums. Participants will scale the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium on Friday, 14th March, before plunging and descending on the edge of the stadium’s roof.
Whether participants decide to descend backwards, facing away from the stadium, or opt for the ultimate thrill by facing outwards as they make their way down to the ground in the London Ambulance Charity Big Stadium abseil, those taking on this exhilarating challenge will be supporting the life-saving work of paramedics and the remarkable efforts of the London Ambulance Service.
The abseil will be open to 100 participants and will involve climbing 100 steep steps before abseiling off the stadium’s edge.
Aside from being home to one of the capital’s most well-known football teams, the ground has also hosted musical legends, including Beyoncé, Pink and Guns N’ Roses. This means participants will be walking behind some very famous footsteps.
The money raised will go to support the London Heart Starters Campaign. It aims to raise enough for 200 additional defibrillators, a crucial piece of life-saving equipment that can be used by members of the public if someone is having a cardiac arrest. Money raised will also support wellbeing initiatives for ambulance staff and volunteers.
