Freddy Brazier Seeks Help Abroad to Overcome Smoking Addiction and Rebuild Family Ties

Freddy Brazier, son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, has announced plans to enter a rehabilitation centre in Marbella, Spain, to address his long-standing addiction to smoking. The 20-year-old, who gained public attention through his appearance on BBC’s Race Across the World, revealed on Instagram that he has been smoking since the age of 12 and now seeks to “get clean” and foster healthier relationships with his family.

In his candid post, Freddy expressed that smoking had become a coping mechanism that evolved into an addiction. He believes that seeking treatment abroad will provide the necessary environment for a successful recovery.

“I’ve decided that I will be cutting down and I want to go to rehab in Marbs as I feel if I’m in England I won’t take getting clean seriously,”

he wrote.

Freddy Brazier also highlighted his desire to engage in positive activities such as boxing and football, aiming to build a healthier lifestyle. He mentioned finding a rehabilitation centre and a boxing club in Marbella, indicating his commitment to this new chapter.

The young model and TV personality emphasized the importance of mending familial relationships, particularly with his father and grandmother, Jackiey Budden. “I want to be clean so I can live happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather than feeling like I’m in the middle and have to choose a side,” he shared.

Freddy’s decision comes amid reported tensions within his family. He has been spending time with his grandmother, despite legal efforts by his father to limit their contact. The family dynamics have been further complicated by public incidents, including a recent sighting of Freddy and Jackiey near Tower Bridge.

For those in the UK seeking support to quit smoking, resources are available. The NHS offers a free Quit Smoking app to help track progress and stay motivated. Local Stop Smoking Services provide personalized advice and support, including information on nicotine replacement therapies.
