Bentley names new Torcal model ahead of London reveal this September
Bentley has confirmed the name of its next model, with the new Bentley Torcal set to make its public debut in London on 23 September 2026. This marks the first official step towards the launch of Bentley’s newest model line, which will join the company’s existing range alongside the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga.
Ahead of the unveiling, Bentley says the Torcal will continue the combination of craftsmanship, performance and comfort that has defined the marque since it was founded in 1919.
The name follows Bentley’s recent tradition of drawing inspiration from distinctive landscapes. Torcal refers to El Torcal de Antequera, a natural limestone landscape in Andalusia, Spain, known for its dramatic rock formations, cliffs and winding stone formations shaped over millions of years.
Bentley also notes that the word Torcal shares its origins with the Latin word “torquere”, meaning “to twist”, from which the modern engineering term “torque” is also derived. According to the manufacturer, the name reflects the effortless performance associated with its vehicles.
The Torcal becomes Bentley’s fourth core model line, expanding a portfolio that currently consists of the Continental GT grand tourer, Flying Spur luxury saloon and Bentayga SUV.
Bentley Chairman and Chief Executive Dr Frank-Steffen Walliser described the new model as setting “extraordinary benchmarks” across the areas the company considers most important.
He said Bentleys have long combined effortless performance, comfort, British craftsmanship, natural materials and what he described as “a soundtrack with soul”, adding that the Torcal “may just be the most considered car in our history.”
The company says more details about the Torcal will be released in the weeks leading up to its London debut.
