Jazz on the Lawn returns to Fulham Palace with 606 Club summer concerts
Fulham Palace is set to host the return of Jazz on the Lawn on 17 and 18 July, bringing live jazz, funk and soul back into its gardens for a weekend of open-air performances. The event takes place in Bishop’s Avenue, where audiences will gather each evening as Fulham Palace continues its summer programme of live music. The concerts are presented by the 606 Club in Chelsea and bring together performers from across its long-running jazz community.
On Friday 17 July, The Coalminers open the weekend with a ten-piece line-up built around New Orleans-inspired groove, funk and deep southern rhythm. The group includes a three-piece horn section and is fronted by vocalists Tommy Hare and Amy Bird. Jazz FM has previously described their sound as “riotous uplifting funk bursting at the seams”.
The following night, Saturday 18 July, features the 606 Club All Stars, marking the venue’s 50th anniversary year. The ensemble brings together vocalists Natalie Duncan, Jo Harrop and Polly Gibbons alongside saxophonists Brandon Allen, Alec Harper and Denys Baptiste, supported by a full rhythm section.
Doors open at 6.30pm on both evenings, with performances beginning at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £25, with reduced entry for children and free admission for under-threes.
The weekend adds to Fulham Palace’s wider summer programme of outdoor cultural events across its historic grounds, with live music continuing to play a central role in its seasonal calendar.
