Hugh Jackman steps out on red carpet with Sutton Foster following divorce
Hugh Jackman has made his first official red carpet appearance with Sutton Foster, marking a new chapter in his personal life 16 months after announcing his separation from Deborra-Lee Furness.
The actor, 57, and the Broadway star, 50, attended the premiere of Song Song Blue at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday. They posed together for photographers, dressed in simple, elegant black, Foster in a silk gown and Jackman in a classic suit.

The pair have known each other for more than a decade, first meeting in 2008 and later starring together in a revival of The Music Man in 2022. Their close friendship during that production was widely noted at the time, with Foster later describing Jackman as one of her “best friends”.
Jackman and Furness were married for nearly three decades before announcing their separation in September 2023, describing it as an “amicable shift” after many years together. In May the following year, Furness spoke publicly about the “trauma” of betrayal in a statement that drew widespread attention.
A source close to Hugh Jackman suggested he was “deeply disappointed” by those comments, though he has made no public statement in response.
The red carpet appearance comes after months of speculation about Jackman and Foster’s relationship. They were first photographed holding hands in Los Angeles earlier this year, shortly after Foster’s own separation from her husband, screenwriter Ted Griffin, in late 2024.
Their appearance at the premiere marks a public confirmation of a relationship that began quietly offstage but has gradually moved into the spotlight.
