London’s E-Bike Revolution: New Models Set to Hit the Streets
London’s push for greener transport is getting a major boost as e-bike company Forest gears up to introduce three new electric bike models by the end of the year. As the capital continues its efforts to move away from gas-guzzling cars, these upgraded e-bikes are designed to offer a more practical and sustainable alternative for daily travel. With extra seating and additional storage, they could make cycling even more appealing to Londoners looking for convenience, affordability, and eco-friendliness.
Thanks to a £13 million investment from Fintex Capital and B8 Venture Partners, Forest is rolling out e-bikes tailored for different needs. The Forest Duo will include a passenger seat behind the cyclist, offering a safe and legal way to ride with a companion. For families, the Forest Kid model will feature child safety seats, making it easier for parents to cycle with young passengers. Meanwhile, the Forest Cargo model will cater to those who need extra storage space, with a front basket and a built-in luggage rack to carry groceries, bags, or even work essentials.

The company is looking to expand further in Hackney, one of London’s most bike-friendly boroughs, and has even set its sights on launching its first international service in Paris by late 2025.
With these new models, Forest is making e-bikes a realistic replacement for short car journeys, cutting down on emissions and easing congestion on London’s roads.
