Ferrari has officially unveiled the 2025 livery of its 499P Hypercar, marking the start of its third season in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s top class. The number 50 and 51 Le Mans Hypercars, competing under the Ferrari – AF Corse banner, continue the legacy of Maranello’s endurance racing triumphs. This latest livery not only pays homage to Ferrari’s storied history but also introduces striking new design elements that enhance the car’s identity on the track.
The 2025 livery remains rooted in Ferrari’s signature red, now presented in a darker shade that echoes historic race cars from previous decades. Complemented by Giallo Modena, this colour scheme has become emblematic of the team’s recent Le Mans victories. Notably, the 499P’s cockpit retains its hallmark yellow diagonal stripe, which now extends across the side pods rather than the lower section. This design evolution accentuates the car’s aerodynamic form, creating a striking visual when viewed from above.
Set to debut in Qatar on 28th February, the 499P retains the technical configuration introduced in the latter half of the 2024 season. The team has spent the winter optimising the car’s performance through test sessions and simulator work. Ferrari’s engineers have meticulously refined the technical package within regulatory limits, ensuring the 499P remains competitive in both reliability and aerodynamics.
Powering the 499P is a twin-turbo V6 internal combustion engine coupled with an ERS (Energy Recovery System) on the front axle, the car embodies the fusion of racing and road-car innovation. The powertrain shares its six-cylinder architecture with Ferrari’s latest road-going models, highlighting the brand’s commitment to performance-driven engineering.
Ferrari retains its proven driver line-up for 2025, with Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen in the number 50 car, while Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi helm the number 51. Their mission is clear: to challenge for both the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ World Championship titles while defending Ferrari’s Le Mans crown. With its modernised livery and optimised engineering, the 499P stands poised for another thrilling season in endurance racing.
