City Beerfest 2025 brings beer, food and live music back to Guildhall Yard

City Beerfest 2025 returns to London’s historic Guildhall Yard on 3rd July, promising a full day of great beer, street food, and live music – all in aid of mental health and homelessness charities.

Now in its 11th year, the event runs from 12.30pm to 9pm and brings over 40 beers to the site of London’s original Roman Amphitheatre. Expect a broad range of options, from craft favourites to gluten-free and low-alcohol brews.

A proper Square Mile celebration

Organised by the City of London Corporation with support from the Worshipful Company of Brewers, City Beerfest 2025 will feature:

  • Top UK and European brewers, including Guinness, Shepherd Neame, Hofmeister, Five Points, Signature Brew and more
  • Food stalls offering classic beer pairings and festival favourites
  • Live music to keep the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day

It’s not just a good time – it’s also for a good cause. All profits go to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, supporting mental health research charity MQ and Homewards, a national homelessness initiative.

Since it began, City Beerfest has raised over £150,000 for charity.

Set against a Roman backdrop

What makes this festival stand out, aside from the drinks, is the location. Held in Guildhall Yard, right above the remains of a Roman amphitheatre, it’s a chance to enjoy modern brewing in a place steeped in London’s past.

James Thomson, Deputy Policy Chairman of the City of London Corporation, said:

“City Beerfest is a perfect opportunity to sample some of the UK’s best beers in a relaxed and fun summer setting – while raising a glass for charity.”

Brendan Barns, Chair of the Culture, Heritage, and Libraries Committee, added:

“Now one of our most popular events, it’s an ideal way to enjoy great food and drink in the Square Mile while supporting causes that matter.”
