Haircuts4Homeless to be showcased in new exhibition
Award-winning photographer Jack Eames has, for the past seven years, documented the “ground breaking work” of Haircuts4Homeless. The charity organises volunteer hairdressers to provide free haircuts for those experiencing homelessness in the UK. An exhibition of the photographer’s work will available to view between 14-16 April at The Coningsby Gallery, 30 Tottenham Street W1T 4RJ.

Founded in 2014 by Stewart Roberts MBE, Haircuts4Homeless has significantly grown since launch. It now provides over 12,000 free haircuts annually across 56 projects across the UK. The charity runs teams of volunteer hairdressers made possible by donations.
Eames first began to visit the Haircuts4Homeless project seven years ago, documenting the work and raising awareness of the charity with sensitive portrait photographs.
“This exhibition really celebrates trust and human connections,” Stewart Roberts MBE Founder of Haircuts4Homeless . “These portraits show the real people behind the statistics and remind us that everyone has a story worth telling. For me, SEEN is more than an art exhibition, it’s a celebration of dignity, humanity, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen.”
Eames continues to document his work with the charity, with the exhibition highlighting human stories behind the project, as well as the impact of the work by Haircuts4Homeless. SEEN by Jack Eames directly supports the charity and its mission.
