Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with two further counts of rape relating to alleged offences in 2020, prosecutors confirmed on Tuesday. The rape charges against Thomas Partey now mean he faces allegations involving four women. He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 13 March.
The 32-year-old had previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault relating to a third woman. The additional charges follow a separate investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

The new allegations relate to incidents said to have taken place in 2020 and were first reported to police last August. Detectives began their wider inquiry in February 2022 after receiving an initial report.
A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service, the independent body responsible for bringing criminal prosecutions in England and Wales, confirmed that further counts had been authorised following a review of evidence in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, published by the Crown Prosecution Service.
Partey was granted conditional bail last year after entering not guilty pleas at Southwark Crown Court. A trial relating to the earlier charges is scheduled to begin before a High Court judge on 2 November.
His solicitor has previously said he denies all the allegations and welcomes the opportunity to clear his name.
Proceedings are ongoing.
