Boy, 13, charged after stabbing at Kingsbury High School
A 13-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after the stabbing at Kingsbury High School, a court heard on Thursday. Prosecutors said two pupils were injured during the incident in Brent on Tuesday, with one sustaining serious wounds.
Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told the boy entered a classroom and sprayed ant killer in a child’s face before allegedly stabbing a 13-year-old in the neck with a kitchen knife. The older victim suffered three stab wounds, a spinal fracture and injuries to the neck and hands that required surgery, the court heard.

After leaving the classroom, the boy is accused of stabbing a 12-year-old pupil, causing a cut to his neck. Less than a minute is said to have passed between the two alleged attacks.
The teenager, who cannot be identified because of his age, also faces charges of possessing a knife on school premises and unlawfully administering a noxious substance. Prosecutor Kathryn Selby said it is alleged he filmed the “unprovoked attacks” on his phone while numerous children and a teacher were present.
The court heard the boy was at large for about three hours before being arrested near a mosque. The Metropolitan Police, which is leading the investigation, has issued updates as inquiries continue via its public newsroom service.
Prosecutors said the two injured pupils are not believed to be in life-threatening condition, although the long-term impact of their injuries remains uncertain.
The defendant appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court wearing a grey prison-issue tracksuit and spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth. Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring remanded him into youth detention to appear at the Old Bailey on 27 February.
Kingsbury High School remains closed to pupils in Years 7 to 9 and is expected to reopen fully on Friday.
