National Parks fees in US to be tripled for foreigners
America’s interior department has announced an “America-first” entrance fees for the country’s national parks. The commemorative annual passes, featuring Donald trump, and “resident-only patriotic fee-free days for 2026” including Trump’s birthday, were also among announcements.
Beginning next year, international visitors to a national park in America will be more than triple. A department press release revealed that non-residents would be able to choose between a $250 annual pass or $100 per person “to enter 11 of the most visited national parks, in addition to the standard entrance fee.”
“This year we’re making it easier and more affordable for every American to experience the beauty and freedom of our public lands,” In a video posted on X, interior secretary Doug Burgam said. “Starting in 2026, United States residents will be able to purchase an annual interagency pass for just $80,” he added. The current, annual interagency America the Beautiful pass is already $80.”
The aim, he added, is to ensure that international visitors to American national parks “contribute their fair share to help preserve and maintain these treasured places.” Commemorative new designs for the annual passes have also been announced for 2026. The pass feature portraits of George Washington and Donald Trump and the military pass features an image of Trump saluting soldiers.
