Weaver Line on Overground new timetable to start 14 December
A new timetable for the London Overground Weaver Line will come into effect from Sunday, 14th December. While the number of trains to each destination remains the same, all train times will change. Those using the line are “strongly advised,” says TfL, to check the updated timetable before travelling.
The changes, it said, are designed to “reduce crowding and improve punctuality” on the line and between Enfield Town and Cheshunt at peak times. “By better aligning capacity with demand at Seven Sisters, the busiest station on the route,” says TfL, “it will ease congestion on peak trains and lower the risk of delays.”
The changes to the Weaver Line include:
At Seven Sisters station
Morning peak:
- Northbound: trains approximately every 6, 9, and 15 minutes
- Southbound: trains approximately every 8, 10, and 12 minutes
Evening peak:
- Northbound: trains approximately every 7, 10, and 13 minutes
- Southbound: trains approximately every 7, 9, and 14 minutes
Enfield Town branch of the Weaver line
Morning peak:
- Southbound: trains every 12 to 18 minutes
- Northbound: trains every 10 to 20 minutes
Evening Peak:
- Southbound: trains every 14 to 16 minutes
- Northbound: trains every 13 to 17 minutes
Cheshunt branch Weaver line trains will operate approximately every 30 minutes
The first trains on the Chingford and Cheshunt routes will leave slightly earlier, but the last trains will remain unchanged. An additional last train will operate from Enfield Town to Liverpool Street on Mondays to Thursdays inclusive, departing from Enfield Town at 00:16
Anyone who travels on the Weaver Line “should check the new timetable before travelling to ensure they have the latest train times,” says TfL. An updated timetables will be available online at TfL.gov.uk, TfL Go app and at stations from early December.
