Jazz, Candlelight and the Thames: Valentine’s Weekend at St Katharine Docks
London does not lack romantic settings, but few feel as quietly cinematic as Valentine’s Jazz on Water, returning to St Katharine Docks on 14th and 15th February 2026. Over two days, live jazz will drift across the marina from London’s only floating entertainment pontoon, offering a distinctly intimate way to mark Valentine’s weekend.
Following two sold-out shows in December, St Kat’s Sessions brings its waterside series back with a candlelit atmosphere designed to suit couples, jazz devotees and anyone in search of a slower, more considered night out. The setting is the City’s only marina, where boats sit still in the basin and sound carries gently across the water.

Headlining the weekend is vocalist Olivia Swann, whose performances are known for their warmth and restraint rather than theatrical flourish. Framed by the lights of the docks, Swann will perform a selection of jazz standards and soulful love songs, joined by special guests for evenings that echo the mood of a late-night jazz club rather than a large concert hall.
The programme is split across two sessions. On Saturday 14th February, the evening performance runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, while Sunday 15th February offers an afternoon set from 4pm to 6pm. Guests attending either session will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of prosecco, with blankets provided to take the edge off the February chill as the pontoon floats quietly on the Thames.
In recent years, the floating pontoon at St Katharine Docks has become one of the estate’s most distinctive cultural spaces. Its layout creates close proximity between performers and audience, while the basin itself acts as a natural acoustic chamber. The result is a listening experience that feels both relaxed and unusually focused, rare for a central London venue.
Capacity is deliberately limited due to the nature of the pontoon, ensuring clear sightlines and sound throughout. Early booking is advised for those hoping to secure a place at one of the weekend’s sessions.
Further details and tickets are available via the official St Katharine Docks website.
