Nomad Books celebrates 35 years with giveaway

Nomad Books is celebrating its 35th birthday with owner Harriot Morton and the team running a competition. Shop in store on 18th October to be entered into the draw to win five free books.
The Fulham Road “institution” has been “a part of the furniture for over three decades, an independent treasure that continues to be cherished by generations of Fulham locals,” says Hammersmith & Fulham Council. Now, as part of their celebrations, the team at the book shop is running a competition to help H&F bibliophiles bulk out their winter reading list.
Nomad Books says it prides itself on offering a curated selection of books for everyone, with staff recommendations coming from “real people with real knowledge who are keen to help you make the right decision.”
“We have always evolved with the changing needs of the Fulham community,” Nomad owner Harriet Morton said. “We love our customers and they in turn appreciate having a bookshop on their doorstep. We have seen children grow up and have their own families coming to us for their books.”
Along with its “something-for-everybody” catalogue, it Nomad Books also regularly hosts a ange of events including a monthly book club on the first Monday of every month.
“Talking about books can be so rewarding,” she continued. “We choose the books that we think they will enjoy, and we appreciate their suggestions too. It is a great pleasure to exchange thoughts and recommendations with the customers.”
To celebrate its 35th birthday, it will be putting on a window display with their favourite books from the past three and a half decades. Anyone who buys a book in-store on Saturday 18th October will be put in a draw to win five books of their choice from the window display.
If you’re not sure what you like, the staff will be on hand to pick out something perfect for you. If you’re interested in supporting more H&F book stores, here’s a helpful guide.
