Up Norway, a luxury travel curator, has unveiled Arctic Women Blazing Trails, a week-long women’s expedition, designed and hosted by two outdoor experts. Limited to just eight guests and taking place between 25 March and 1 April 2026, the inaugural journey will answer to a growing demand of skills-based and community-driven travel, bringing a truly unique experience.
From a remote islet in the Arctic, to a quiet national park under the Norwegian skies, Arctic Women Blazing Trails will allow guess to learn valuable survival skills including foraging, ice fishing, fire starting, winter paddling, wilderness safety, and much more.
The experience will kick off in Bodø where guests will board a boat to Naustholmen, a small islet in the Steigen archipelago off Nordland’s coast, and outpost of trip host Randi Skaug, Norway’s first woman to summit Everest and complete the Seven Summits. There, the guests will spend time outdoors with Skaug, learning to layer and stay warm, build and cook over open fires, travel safely along coastal trails, and learn enjoy sea-air mornings, cave walks, and sauna nights under the Arctic skies.
Later, guests will head even further north with Hurtigruten’s MS Vesterålen, a vessel that combine cozy cabins with a seasonal and Nordic menu, making it a relaxing way to enjoy the fjords.
The next step will be on Senja, the country’s second-largest island above the Arctic circle, known for its peaks, beaches, and tranquil forests of Ånderdalen National Park. Guese will settle into a nature retreat.
The journey will end on Tromsø from where guests return home with new skills and an experience they will never forget.
