Riviera to launch the first singles-only river cruise ship

Riviera Travel, the UK’s biggest river cruise company, is launching the world’s singles-only river cruise ship dedicated to single travellers.
Solo holidaymakers have often complained about the lack of singles trips or the extra amount they have to pay for travelling on their own. Riviera has seen a 66% year-on-year increase in the demand for solo river cruise bookings, with single travellers making up 13% of all bookings. Over half of the travellers are repeat bookings and over 60% have expressed a preference for solo-only holidays.

To address this, the announcement of Riviera’s 2027 season features MS George Eliot, the world’s first river cruise ship operating exclusively for solo travellers.
