On-street bike hangars programme to be expanded in Wandsworth

Wandsworth council is proposing 116 new on-street bike hangars across the borough to encourage more cycling. The expansion builds on its programme to install more as well as its “ongoing commitment to supporting active travel and improving cycling infrastructure.” At the time of writing, 364 on-street bike hangars have been installed in the borough.

Residents have sent letters giving their feedback on new suggested locations. The consultation closes on 20th November and residents can still have their say on the council’s website. In addition to the 116 new on-street bike hangars being consulted on, 14 bike hangars will be placed across estates in the borough to help encourage more cycling and enable safe cycle parking.
