Carlo Ancelotti is expected to leave Real Madrid, but is unlikely to becoming the next manager of Brazil. The 65-year-old is reaching the end of his four-year spell with the Spanish giants, in what has been a very successful period for Los Blancos.
This season will be one without a major trophy, having been eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal in the quarter-final. They currently sit four points shy of La Liga leaders and arch-rivals Barcelona.
The Italian, who previously managed AC Milan and Chelsea, is contracted with the Spanish giants until 2026. It has been widely reported that we would leave in the summer and Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso, and former-Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp have been rumoured to replace him.
Ancelotti meanwhile has been tipped to become the new manager for the Brazilian national team but the deal is reportedly “on the verge of collapsing,” transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said.
“Brazil consider the negotiations with Carlo Ancelotti on the verge of collapsing,” Romano said. “Despite verbal agreement done for days, deal was not signed as there’s NO green light on Real Madrid exit conditions. In any case, Carlo’s still expected to part ways with Real Madrid.”
