Spectre Bailey pays tribute to Rolls-Royce owner’s dog

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the bespoke commissioned Spectre Bailey, a “charming tribute” to the owner’s dog, a Labrador-Golden Retriever mix. Created for a “long-standing Rolls-Royce client” couple in the US, the Spectre Bailey showcases what the create for its owner.
For the car, paint specialists at the company home in Goodwood developed an iridescent two-tone finish, combining colours reserved exclusively for commissioning clients. The main body is in “Crustal Fusion over Beautiful Bailey,” a hue inspired by the fur on the dog’s ear, while the upper section is in “Crystal Fusion,” in an iridescent finish that shifts subtly with the light. The car’s coachline features an exact reproduction of Bailey’s paw print, hand painted in rose gold to match the famous Spirit of Ecstasy mascot.
Inside, the car boasts Moccasin and Crème Light leather, “beautifully complemented” by Dark Spice and Casden Tan accents, again reminiscent of Bailey’s fur coat, while the wood surfaces are in High Gloss Royal Walnut veneer.
But what stands out the most is a lifelike portrait of Bailey, on the ‘waterfall’ between the rear seats. The “intricate composition,” Rolls-Royce says, took over four months to finish, comprising over 180 pieces of veneer.
On the passenger side of the dashboard of the Spectre Bailey is a smaller motif that is another tribute to Bailey, depicting a precise recreation of his paw print. This design also appears on the rose gold treadplates on the door sills, revealed when the doors are opened.
The Spectre is Rolls-Royce’s first all-electric model. The stunning two-door coupe has proven to be a big hit among the brand’s clientele, combining the smoothness you’d expect from the brand with a zero-emissions drive.
