New Year’s Eve fireworks celebrations, tickets to go on sale

The Mayor of London has announced that the first tickets for London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display will go on sale on Friday 17th October. The first batch for the “world-renowned spectacular” event will be on sale from midday and are expected to quickly sell out.

London will celebrate the new year with a traditional display of fireworks, lighting, and music, along the banks of the River Thames. The 12-minute show will begin with the famous sounds of Big Ben’s chimes, before thousands of fireworks and hundreds of lights will illuminate the night sky around the London Eye. All of this will be set to a “wide-ranging” soundtrack.

As many as 100,000 Londoners and visitors are expected to attend the New Year’s Eve celebrations to celebrate key moments of the year and look forward to 2026. Many millions more will be watching on TV with the annual showstopper being a great advert for the capital and tourism industry. Those with tickets generate over £14 million of additional revenue for businesses and the capital’s economy.

The first opportunity to get tickets to watch the famous fireworks in person is when they go on sale on Friday 17th October at midday. A final smaller batch will go on sale later in the year.

Only those bought from Ticketmaster will be accepted, allowing entry into the specially designated viewing areas. They will not be sold on any other website.

This year ticket prices for Londoners remain £20 and £35, depending on the viewing area, and for people who live outside the capital, they will be £40 and £55. There will also be an opportunity to donate to TAP London, a charity dedicated to supporting Londoners experiencing homelessness.
