Lyric Square piazza pop-up events this August

Head over to Lyric Square piazza in Hammersmith on Thursday nights in August for pop-up pub nights.  Stop by the pop-up piazza before catching a show at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre or a gig at the Eventim Apollo and sample some of Hammersmith’s most popular pubs.

It’s part of work to boost Hammersmith’s night-time economy and support local businesses. The four evening events will run from 6pm to 11pm. The square will be covered in deckchairs, parasols, a giant games area, a live music stage and pop-up bars run by local businesses.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with local people, showcase businesses and create that summer evening buzz,” Anthony Blake, landlord of the Hammersmith Ram pub in King Street said. “My team and I will be pulling pints all night, so make sure you pop down and say hi!”

The Lyric Square piazza is also the perfect spot for a refresh and relax after a workout class at Frame or a shopping trip along King Street. Or just to grab a drink with friends and colleagues before catching the Tube home. With four live artists every week, each night’s music will span the decades. Visitors can expect jazz from Sophie Anderson and feel-good tunes from singer songwriter Laila Mai Knight. While singer Bunny Nightingale will cover everything from Sinatra and Doris Day, to Nirvana, Rhianna, The Killers and more.

Lyric Square’s local pubs, restaurants and cafes will be running pop-up bars on each of the four evenings. There’ll be a huge menu on offer, from alcohol free drinks to tasty bites and pub classics. Place an order at bars run by Baba GBlanche Eatery, Hammersmith Ram, Lyric Hammersmith TheatreOutsider TarteThe Swan and The William Morris.
