Fire crews said the two people on board were pulled from the wreckage and taken to hospital. Three others nearby were also injured. The cause has not been released.
The helicopter was linked to a weekend event known locally as Cars ’N Copters. Roads around the scene were restricted while emergency teams secured the area and moved people back from the cordon.
A federal investigation is under way. National investigators publish official updates on aviation incidents here for the official information.
Witnesses reported a sudden loss of control. “I heard a pop and saw the helicopter spinning,” one beachgoer said. “People started running as it came down.”
Authorities said debris would be examined on site before the helicopter was removed. Investigators are expected to review the flight path, maintenance records and any reports from the crew.
