SPYSCAPE London spy challenge attraction opens in Covent Garden
Reckon you’d make a good 007? Or think you could keep your cool like Ethan Hunt in a high-stakes mission? From Friday 30th May, Londoners can test their espionage instincts for real, as the SPYSCAPE London spy challenge attraction opens its doors in Covent Garden.
This isn’t your standard museum outing. Set across a sprawling 25,000 square feet in the heart of the West End, SPYSCAPE brings together spy stories, tech challenges, and hands-on puzzles that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a live-action spy world. It’s part museum, part mission, with a very modern twist.
The SPYSCAPE London spy challenge attraction is the first of its kind in the UK and brings with it a strong track record abroad. But this new site has been carefully adapted for Londoners, weaving together British intelligence expertise with interactive design and real-world tasks that test how observant, strategic, and calm under pressure you really are.
The main event, SPYSCAPE, is a 90-minute narrative-led spy adventure that drops you into the world of codebreaking, lie detection, and surveillance. While you’re putting your skills to the test, you’ll also learn about real-life spies, hackers, and the gadgets they used to outsmart their rivals. At the end, you’ll receive a 40-page profile assessing your everyday strengths, including analysis, perception, empathy and risk-taking.
For something more fast-paced, SPYGAMES offers a 50-minute group challenge where two to five players tackle a series of smart, physical puzzles in themed zones. From laser-dodging to quick thinking under pressure, this high-stakes spy game pushes both teamwork and reflexes. There are even rewards to unlock if you’re sharp enough.
What sets this apart from a typical day out is how cleverly it’s been put together. The challenge zones were shaped with insight from former British Intelligence officers, psychology academics, and specialists in special operations. It’s entertaining, yes – but it’s also a rare chance to step inside a realistic simulation of modern-day intelligence work.
Located at 45 Wellington Street on the edge of Covent Garden Piazza, SPYSCAPE is perfectly placed for an afternoon outing, a team social, or something a bit different to try in London. Tickets start at £23, with discounts for children, students, and seniors. Group bundles are available, and full booking details can be found through their official website.
So whether you’re curious to see how you’d fare under pressure, or just fancy a bit of real-world spy training, this is your chance. It’s fun, smart, and packed with moments that make you think differently about the world around you.
