Motley Crue’s 2025 Las Vegas Residency: A Rock Icon’s Return

Motley Crue, the legendary American rock band, is officially returning to the stage after nearly a decade since they announced their retirement. The group, originally formed in 1981, includes founding members Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, and guitarist John 5, who has since replaced Mick Mars. Fans across the globe are buzzing with excitement, and it’s safe to say that the UK audience is just as thrilled to see the rock icons back in action.
The band’s latest announcement reveals a series of performances in Las Vegas in 2025, marking their return to the spotlight after a lengthy hiatus. Motley Crue has long been celebrated for hits like Dr Feelgood, Without You, and Girls, Girls, Girls, and their return to the stage is bound to reignite memories for their original fanbase, while drawing in a new generation of rock enthusiasts.
Earlier this year, Motley Crue teased fans with the release of their first single in five years, Dogs of War. Now, they have confirmed their highly anticipated residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, running from 28th March until 19th April, 2025. Tickets are expected to sell out fast, with eager fans, many from the UK, already planning to attend.
Their official Instagram page was flooded with comments following the announcement, with fans such as user Medievalwolfgrrl writing, “Thanks, guys! This is awesome, and I’ll definitely be there!” Another fan echoed the sentiment, calling for a world tour, which has yet to be confirmed by the band.
The return may surprise some, as Motley Crue famously signed a “Cessation of Touring” agreement in 2014, which they claimed would bring their touring days to a definitive end. However, the band reversed that decision in 2019, symbolically “blowing up” the contract following the success of their Netflix biopic The Dirt, which introduced their music to a new generation of listeners. According to the band, fan demand—especially from younger audiences—played a key role in their decision to return to the stage.
Reflecting on the decision to retire, Nikki Sixx, the band’s bassist, admitted to People Magazine: “We were wrong in retiring, obviously.” He also hinted at special surprises for their Las Vegas residency, mentioning that fans could expect to hear lesser-known tracks, possibly some B-sides that haven’t been performed live in years.
For fans in the UK and beyond, this residency offers a unique opportunity to witness one of rock’s most iconic bands in a more intimate setting, with performances promising to be as explosive as ever. The Crueheads are set to take over Vegas, and whether you’re a long-time fan or new to their music, this is one rock spectacle you won’t want to miss.
