Employ Wandsworth Jobs Fair Returns to Roehampton
Employ Wandsworth, the borough’s flagship jobs and skills fair, is set to return on Friday, 9th May, from 10am to 3pm at Whitelands College in Roehampton. This free event aims to connect local jobseekers with around 50 employers offering opportunities across various sectors.
Organised by Wandsworth Council’s Work Match team, the fair is a cornerstone of the Alton Renewal Plan, focusing on enhancing employment prospects for residents of the Alton Estate and the wider Roehampton area. Attendees can expect to engage directly with employers, receive career advice, and participate in workshops covering topics like interview preparation and leveraging social media in job searches.
Deputy Council Leader Kemi Akinola emphasised the event’s significance, stating, “Employ Wandsworth is our flagship jobs fair, and this year we want to put it where local people have told us it is most needed.” The initiative underscores the council’s commitment to ensuring local opportunities benefit Wandsworth residents.
Jobseekers from all backgrounds—whether entering the workforce, seeking a career change, or exploring local opportunities—are encouraged to attend. While walk-ins are welcome, pre-registration is advised to avoid queues. For more details and to book your spot, visit the Employ Wandsworth website.
