Find Your Place in the Community at Richmond Volunteer Fair 2025

The Richmond Volunteer Fair 2025 is giving locals a fresh opportunity to connect with their community and explore ways to give back. Taking place on Wednesday 21st May at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College, this free event brings together more than 50 local groups under one roof, offering a glimpse into the wide variety of charities and organisations that could benefit from your time and skills.

The Richmond Volunteer Fair promises an informal and friendly atmosphere where you can meet representatives from groups working in health and wellbeing, arts and heritage, nature and environment, children and young people, community support, and specialist advice services. It is a unique chance to learn first-hand about the work these charities do and to find a volunteering role that matches your interests and availability.

The event is free to attend but advance booking is requested to help organisers plan. You can book your ticket here to secure your place. Whether you have a few hours a week or a few days a month to offer, the Richmond Volunteer Fair 2025 could be the starting point for a rewarding new connection with your local community.

Organised by Richmond CVS, who also run the Richmond Volunteer Service, the fair is part of a wider effort to promote volunteering across the borough. Getting involved in community projects not only benefits others but often brings new skills, friendships, and a deeper sense of belonging to volunteers themselves.

The fair runs from 2pm to 6pm, allowing plenty of time to meet different organisations and ask any questions about what volunteering involves. Whether you are interested in conservation work, supporting young people, helping at cultural events, or lending professional skills to a charity board, there is likely to be something that sparks your interest.

For those who might be unsure where to start, friendly advisers will be on hand to offer ideas and guidance. As one organiser put it,

“You don’t need experience to volunteer — just time, enthusiasm, and a willingness to get involved.”

Richmond Volunteer Fair 2025 is a doorway into the vibrant and varied community life of the borough. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, or simply want to explore new ways to connect with your local area, this is the perfect opportunity to take that first step.
