Richmond Gymnasts to Represent Great Britain at World Acrobatic Championships in Portugal
Fourteen talented gymnasts from Richmond Gymnastics Association (RGA) are set to represent Great Britain at the upcoming World Acrobatic Championships in Guimarães, Portugal, between 9 to 23 September. The event marks a significant milestone for these young athletes, who will showcase their exceptional skills on an international stage.
RGA is thrilled to announce the participation of their athletes in this prestigious event. Competing across various categories, the Richmond gymnasts include:
- Senior Men’s Group: Louis Alexander, Freddie Turner, Rex Booth, and Samuel Ditchburn
- Senior Women’s Group: Michaela Cook, Amber Harvey, and Sophia Gold
- Junior Mixed Pair: Toby Cooper-Driver and Leela Ramini
- 12-18 Age Group, Women’s Group: Chloe Bartholomew, Charlotte Dawson, and Isla Henderson
- 12-18 Age Group, Mixed Pair: Christoph Tilroe and Louisa Szalacsi
These athletes have dedicated countless hours to perfecting their routines, and their selection to represent Great Britain is a testament to their hard work and talent.
However, participating in the World Championships comes at a cost. Attendance is self-funded, meaning the gymnasts and their families must cover all expenses, including entry fees, travel, accommodation, competition attire, and more.
