London Marathon 2025 Celebrity Line-up Includes Chris Evans and Kelly Brook

If you’re one of the many Londoners who applied to run the TCS London Marathon 2025 and missed out, you’re not alone. With over 840,000 people entering the ballot for just over 50,000 spots, the odds were never great. Unless, of course, you’re a household name.

Chris Evans, Kelly Brook and former Chelsea captain John Terry are just a few of the well-known faces gearing up to take on the 26.2-mile route on Sunday 27th April. The route remains a firm favourite with runners and spectators alike, kicking off in Greenwich and winding through the capital before the traditional finish at The Mall.

For Evans, a seasoned marathon runner, it’s another notch on the belt. But for others, it’s completely uncharted territory. Brook, best known for her radio and TV work, admitted on Instagram that she’d never run more than 5k before committing to the marathon. “Rocky & Apollo would be proud,” she joked after completing 20k in training.

A full roster of celebrities has been released, featuring actors, broadcasters, athletes and influencers. It’s a long list, from EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt and Sex Education star Kedar Williams-Stirling, to TV chefs like Marcus Bean and former Olympic athletes including Sir Jason Kenny and Stef Reid. The music world is also well-represented, with McFly’s Harry Judd and Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds lacing up their trainers.

The London Marathon is a spectacle that brings together seasoned athletes, weekend warriors and thousands running for personal causes or charities. What makes the 2025 line-up particularly interesting is the sheer variety of participants. From radio legends like Jenni Falconer and Joel Dommett to reality TV personalities such as Spencer Matthews and Kitty Scott-Claus, this year’s celebrity crew is a microcosm of the UK’s entertainment scene.

Also running are big names in sport like Sir Alastair Cook, Jack Wilshere and Danny Mills, alongside social figures like Dr Alex George and author Emma Campbell. It’s the kind of eclectic mix that mirrors the marathon’s appeal—something for everyone, whether you’re lining the streets or watching from the sofa.

Training updates have been trickling through social media over the past few weeks, with many sharing honest stories about early-morning runs, unexpected injuries, and the challenge of juggling training with busy careers. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes peek that makes the event feel more human, yes, even celebrities have to deal with dodgy knees and shoe blisters.

And if you’re heading out to watch the London Marathon 2025 on the day, it’s worth learning a bit about the old rivers and historic routes the runners pass along the way.
