Expressions of Texture Collection unveiled by Bentley
Bentley Rancho Mirage, California, has unveiled the Expressions of Texture Collection, featuring four bespoke Continental GT Speed Convertibles, each a unique expression of texture, crafted by the Mulliner bespoke studio. This exclusive collection, co-created between Bentley Rancho Mirage and Mulliner, highlights the limitless creative potential that bespoke design offers to Bentley’s most discerning clients.
Each of the four Continental GT Speed Convertibles in the Expressions of Texture Collection is finished in satin paint from Mulliner’s exclusive colour palette, with every finish requiring up to 55 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Additionally, the vehicles showcase extraordinary bespoke elements, including wafer-thin 200-million-year-old stone veneers and blind-embossed upholstery that draws inspiration from the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Colorado Desert’s Coachella Valley.
Set amidst the stunning scenery of Rancho Mirage, the city is surrounded by desert expanses, vibrant greenery, and rugged mountains, which provided the inspiration for the Collection’s unique designs. One model, for example, features a Peacock Blue satin exterior, inspired by the star-studded night skies, complemented by a tri-tone carbon fibre Styling Specification. Inside, a two-tone fascia in Peacock Blue satin is paired with Slate stone veneer, enhanced by Electro Blue accents, while Serenity quilting adorns the seat uppers and tonneau cover.
Another model reflects the flowing forms of desert dunes with a Ghost White Pearl satin finish, featuring intricate seat quilting that took hundreds of hours to perfect. The design is completed with a fascia in Autumn Stone veneer, exuding quiet elegance. A third model draws inspiration from the region’s rugged mountains, with a Havana satin exterior and bespoke topographic seat design, mirroring the sunlit features of California’s Death Valley.
The Expressions of Texture Collection is a testament to Bentley’s dedication to offering clients an unmatched level of bespoke design. Mulliner’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Parker, notes, “We hope this collection will inspire our customers to explore the full spectrum of possibilities available through our bespoke service.”
