Shepherd’s Bush Bus Stops Closed April-May

Major travel changes are hitting Shepherd’s Bush as several key bus stops will be closed for nearly a month, affecting thousands of Londoners. Due to redevelopment works on Ariel Way, stops A, B, C, and D at Shepherd’s Bush station and Ariel Way are closed until 6pm on Sunday 26th May. If you’re travelling through the area, it’s important to know where to catch your bus during the closure.
The affected routes include the 31, 49, 95, 148, 207, 228, 237, 260, 316, C1 and SL8. Travellers should be aware that many services will either be diverted or will not reach their usual Shepherd’s Bush destinations. Routes 148, 207, 228, 260, and SL8 won’t stop at White City bus station either.
Depending on your journey, buses like the 31, 49, 316, and C1 towards White City will now pick up passengers from Stop E at Shepherd’s Bush station or finish at White City bus station. Routes in the opposite direction towards Camden Town, Brent Cross West and Victoria will either start at White City or Stop Y on Uxbridge Road.
If you’re using route 228 towards Central Middlesex Hospital, head to Stop F on Shepherd’s Bush Green. Going towards Maida Hill? You’ll need to catch your bus from either White City’s Stop WE or Shepherd’s Bush’s Stop X.
Meanwhile, routes like the 95 will completely avoid Shepherd’s Bush Green, instead beginning and ending at White City bus station. Routes 207, 260, and SL8 will also bypass White City, starting from Shepherd’s Bush Green instead. Travellers can hop on the 237 from White City to reconnect with these routes.
Transport for London advises checking your route before setting out and using the TfL Journey Planner or TfL Go app to avoid surprises. It’s also wise to allow extra time for your journey while the closures are in place.
