Create a Poster for Display in Germany, France, and Richmond
Richmond Council is calling on all young artists to participate in an exciting summer poster competition to celebrate the reaffirmation of Richmond’s twinning agreement with Fontainebleau in France and Konstanz in Germany. This special relationship is reaffirmed every five years with grand celebrations, and in 2025, Richmond will host an exciting weekend of festivities.
Local students aged 16 and under are invited to showcase their artistic talents by designing a poster that captures the spirit of this event. The competition winners will be invited to a special Mayoral event in the autumn term. Their winning and commended posters will be exhibited in the lead-up to and during the twinning celebrations.
The overall winning poster design will be used for publicity across the whole borough and in France and Germany, promoting the festivities scheduled for 6th – 9th June 6th, 2025. These celebrations will include sports fixtures, concerts, plays, dancing, art exhibitions, marching bands, parades, and picnics—a fantastic opportunity for budding artists to get involved.
