Urgent Appeal: Moroccan Teenagers Missing in London

Londoners are being urged to help in the search for two Moroccan teenagers who vanished from their accommodation near King’s Cross. Douae, 14, and Houda, 15, were last seen leaving their hostel on Tavistock Place at around 8:30 pm on Tuesday. The girls had arrived in the capital just days earlier as part of a student exchange programme.

The teenagers, who were due to return home to Morocco this weekend, were visiting the UK as part of an independent educational trip not linked to any school. Their sudden disappearance has sparked an urgent appeal, with concerns mounting for their safety.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Kaur, who is leading the investigation, stressed the importance of finding the pair as soon as possible. “They have travelled from Morocco and are in a city and country that is unfamiliar to them. The longer they remain missing, the greater our concern for their welfare.”

A dedicated team of detectives is working to trace their movements, and authorities are in close contact with the organisers of their trip, as well as the teenagers’ families. Police are urging anyone who may have seen Douae and Houda, or who has any information about their whereabouts, to come forward.

The girls’ descriptions have not been widely released, but both are believed to have brown hair and dark features. No details have been given about what they were wearing at the time they went missing. The priority now is to locate them quickly and ensure they are safe.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101 or contact @MetCC on X, quoting reference 01/7101825/25. For immediate sightings, members of the public should dial 999.

If you live or work in the area around King’s Cross and Tavistock Place, check any security cameras, doorbell footage, or dashcams from Tuesday evening—you might hold a crucial clue.

Londoners are known for looking out for one another, and in a city that welcomes millions of visitors every year, it’s vital that young travellers like Douae and Houda feel safe. If you have any information that could help, don’t hesitate to report it.
