The parks in Richmond upon Thames are “wonderful places to walk your dog,” the council says in a press release, adding that they “love seeing residents and their furry friends enjoying these spaces.
To help protect both wildlife and visitors, those walking dogs are asked to keep the animals on leads in sensitive wildlife areas and for walkers to always clean up after them. This is because dog waste can carry many harmful parasites and pollute the parks. Disposing of it properly will help keep these “shared spaces pleasant for everyone.”
