Cadent Gas roadworks to affect traffic in Goldhawk Road

Cadent Gas workers will soon start digging up the double roundabout near The Oak pub in Goldhawk Road. It means that this area of Shepherds Bush will be affected for five weeks, starting on Sunday 3rd August.
Cadent Gas is upgrading the pipes in the short stretch of Goldhawk Road between the Askew Road mini-roundabout and the end of the shop parade opposite the junction with Paddenswick Road, with traffic diversions put in place.
Three-way lights will operate, the bus lane will shut, and four bus stops, numbers ST, SH, SC and SX, will be suspended. H&F Council says it will closely monitor the works. It is “urging the gas company to complete the roadworks as quickly as possible, because there is likely to be a serious effect on traffic in the area.”
“Thank you, in advance, for your patience while we complete these essential works to futureproof the gas network in Shepherds Bush,” said a Cadent Gas spokesperson.
