Climate action microgrants applications open
Applications for climate action microgrants are open for individuals with a passion for nature or local groups with a “great idea.” The grants offer funding to support local projects that help people and nature “adapt to a changing climate, making a lasting difference in our communities.”
“As we enjoy the outdoors this summer, it’s the perfect time to think about how we can care for the environment and connect with our communities,” Richmond upon Thames council says. Since April 2024, the scheme “has supported a diverse range of community-led environmental initiatives across the borough, each tailored to local needs and opportunities.”
The climate action microgrants scheme is open to “all kinds of projects, big or small, new or already underway, that aim to inspire climate action and support sustainable behaviours in the long term.”
Through the climate action microgrants, you can get between £100 and £500 to host an event, activity, or initiative that would encourage “positive community behaviours around climate change and sustainability.
Apply by Friday 29th August 2025 (for applications for the community), or by Friday 24th October 2025 (for applications for schools). Follow the link to apply now.
