Vice President debate between Vance and Walz in October

Vice President candidates JD Vance (Republican, pictured) and Tim Walz ( Democrat) have agreed to hold a debate on, 1s October. CBS reported that the debate in New York will be under the moderation of journalists Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan.
“We look forward to… providing voters with an opportunity to hear directly from the vice-presidential candidates,” it added.
“See you on October 1, JD,” Kamala Harris‘s running mate Tim Walz posted on X.
JD Vance is Donald Trump’s running mate who, if the former Apprentice host is re-elected, will become Vice President. He announced his agreement to the October date also through a post on X. “I look forward to seeing you at both!” he posted. Walz has yet to comment on a second meet up between the two.
Presidential candidates, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have agreed to a debate on ABC on, 10th September. “I am looking forward to debating Donald Trump,” Harris said. “I hear he’s finally committed to it and I’m looking forward to it.”
Trump originally declared that he would only be willing to debate his opponent on Fox News but Harris rejected the offer. She argued that the Trump campaign had already agreed to a debate on ABC when Joe Biden was presumed to be the nominee for the Democratic party. In a press conference, Trump said that there should be three debates, suggesting that they would be hosted by Fox News and NBC.
Harris’ campaign has not commented on the possibility of two more debates that Trump proposed. The current Vice President said that she would be open to additional dates. Her campaign said that “Trump has to show up” to one on ABC before they confirm any future meet ups. NBC News is also in talks with both campaigns about the possibility of hosting a debate in the autumn, according to the New York Times.
A poor performance from Joe Biden against Trump in June triggered a crisis over his candidacy, resulting in him dropping out of the race and his Vice President, Kamala Harris running instead.
