Ocean Odyssey at the Science Museum

American marine biologist and oceanographer Sylvia Earle hosts the captivating documentary which will shine a light on the mesmerising world of ocean currents and how they are crucial iin maintaining the Earth’s temperature at an ideal level, something they have done for millions of years.
Following the flow of the ocean currents, the baby whale travels from warm waters in the tropics down to the icy Antarctic as it encounters the many different species that play an important role in the ocean’s story. These include clownfish and fur seals, as well as tiny organisms that are invisible to the naked eye.
But there is also a darker side to the Earth’s oceans. As it approaches the Antarctic home, the baby whale will witness catastrophic changes to the marine environment. Climate change could have many long term consequences to ocean currents which could change the fate of future generations and the natural world forever.
