50% off Lime bikes in Wandsworth

Wandsworth Council has launched a 50% off Lime bikes initiative, aiming to make active travel fair, safe and affordable across the borough. The discount is available under the “Access for All” scheme.. With nearly 6.8 million e‑bike trips taken between May 2024 and May 2025, Wandsworth is hoping to build on its reputation as a hub for sustainable and inclusive transport.

Council Leader Simon Hogg described the initiative as a “win‑win”, enabling residents to access work and leisure affordably while encouraging eco‑friendly choices. The council has ensured operators Lime, Forest and Voi adhere to safety measures, speed caps, always‑on lights, licence checks, and has already installed 170 designated parking bays to reduce pavement clutter. Additional bays are in the pipeline, with tougher measures to tackle poorly parked e‑bikes and scooters.

The 50% discount applies to Lime and Forest e‑bikes and Lime and Voi e‑scooters for eligible “Access for All” users, making sustainable journeys more inclusive. Wandsworth’s scheme is said to be the most generous of its kind in Britain. Jenny Yates, Cabinet Member for Transport, emphasised the council’s dedication to responsible active travel, stating that “e‑bikes are here to stay as a key part of Wandsworth’s transport network.”

This effort builds on Wandsworth’s ambition to promote healthy travel. The borough has delivered London’s most extensive bike‑hangar rollout alongside the largest road resurfacing programme, reinforcing safe cycling and walking routes. Residents can report obstructive bikes or scooters via providers, details available on the council’s website.
