
Viking has announced the release of 10 exciting new ocean itineraries for 2026 and 2027, featuring some of Europe’s most iconic and lesser-known destinations. The voyages, which range from 8 to 22 days, will introduce 12 new ports to Viking’s expanding list of stops, including Fowey in England, Bordeaux in France, and Limerick (Foynes) in Ireland.
As part of its growing fleet of small, award-winning ships, Viking continues to cater to discerning travellers seeking intimate, destination-focused voyages. Torstein Hagen, Chairman and CEO of Viking, emphasised the company’s commitment to enriching travel experiences: “Every Viking itinerary is focused on the destination, and our state-of-the-art ships offer an elegant experience free from distractions like casinos or children on board.”
The new itineraries explore the Mediterranean, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Northern Europe. Highlights include:
- Amalfi Coast, Africa & Iberia (8 days): Embarking between Rome and Barcelona, this voyage offers an exploration of Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the ancient Roman harbour of Carthage in Tunisia, and Spain’s vibrant Valencia, known for its delicious paella.
- Spain & Portugal Discovery (8 days): Between Lisbon and Barcelona, passengers can immerse themselves in Lisbon’s lively atmosphere, visit Andalusia’s Seville and Málaga, and admire Barcelona’s architectural marvels, including Antoni Gaudí’s masterpieces.
- Iberia, France & England Explorer (12 days): Sailing between Lisbon and London, this journey takes in the historic wine region of Bordeaux, Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum, and a regal Thames River cruise in London.
- Scandinavian Discovery (8 days): A scenic journey between Oslo and Stockholm, featuring UNESCO-listed Karlskrona, the charming Åland Islands, and an overnight stay in Stockholm to explore its Viking heritage.
- Baltic Discovery (8 days): Between Stockholm and Copenhagen, passengers will visit the UNESCO cities of Tallinn and Riga, and Lithuania’s Klaipeda, before enjoying an overnight stay in Copenhagen to experience its modern Nordic cuisine.
- Nordic Wonders (8 days): Between Oslo and Bergen, this cruise showcases Norway’s dramatic fjords and Denmark’s picturesque coast, with charming towns and stunning landscapes along the way.
- British Isles & Ireland (15 days): Travelling from London to Belfast, this itinerary explores the British Isles, with stops in historic Scottish ports and the ancient city of Limerick in Ireland.
- Scandinavia & Baltic Capitals (15 days): A deep dive into the capitals of Scandinavia and the Baltics, including overnight stays in Stockholm and Copenhagen to fully appreciate the region’s Viking history and culinary delights.
- Scenic Scandinavia & Baltic Jewels (15 days): This voyage traces the dramatic coastlines of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, with highlights including Oslo and Stockholm and a focus on the new Nordic culinary scene.
- Icons of the Viking Age (22 days): A comprehensive circumnavigation of the Baltic, exploring the Viking homelands of Scandinavia and the Baltic States, with visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Tallinn and Riga.
These new voyages are part of Viking’s growing fleet, which offers over 100 itineraries across the world’s oceans.
