Ultimate Performance Brings Precision Training to Canary Wharf

Ultimate Performance (U.P.). is known for its body transformations, and whether you are a seasoned gym-goer or new to fitness, this PT-led gym is designed to push clients towards their goals through structured training, discipline and consistency. The focus is on achieving maximum results in minimum time, supporting significant body recomposition.

Typically, clients purchase a block of sessions and work towards a defined objective, whether that is fat loss, improved health, or regaining control of habits that may have slipped due to long working hours, stress and inconsistent routines.

Before beginning, clients complete a lifestyle survey covering more than 150 data points, including work schedule, sleep, travel, eating habits, health history and stress levels. By the first session, trainers are equipped to structure a programme of training and nutrition that aligns with the client’s lifestyle.

Every programme is guided by a personal trainer. I began several sessions with Gary Murphy, starting with a detailed discussion about my fitness goals, daily nutrition and areas for improvement. He measured my weight, body fat and key statistics to establish a baseline. From there, we set step targets, protein intake goals and a calorie deficit. Most importantly, Gary designed a meal plan that prioritised protein at each meal.

He introduced me to the U.P. app, where progress and targets are tracked. The platform is intuitive and makes it straightforward to monitor nutrition, daily steps and weekly benchmarks. Gary also provided what the company describes as a “fitness concierge” service, offering structured support with nutrition, training and regular check-ins. Everything is planned around the demands of a working day.

After several sessions, I felt stronger, fitter and more focused. Gary reinforced the fundamentals: prioritising protein, refining lifting technique and maintaining accountability inside and outside the gym. His approach is methodical, guiding clients whether their objective is fat loss or muscle gain, while encouraging a more considered relationship with food and training.

This is not an ordinary gym. For those prepared to commit fully to a structured fitness programme, the team’s expertise supports meaningful physical change alongside improved daily habits.
