Trustee for a local charity

On Wednesday, 25th September, residents are invited to join Richmond CVS for their largest-ever Trustee Recruitment Evening, featuring over 30 groups introducing their work and trustee opportunities.
As part of their work as the go-to support for local voluntary or community organisations, this annual free information and speed matching event is for anyone aged 18 or over who is interested in finding out about volunteering and is curious about skilled or strategic roles.
The event will be held at the Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College (RHACC) on Wednesday, 25th September. The address is Parkshot, Richmond, TW9 2RE. Doors open at 6pm and the event will go on until 8:15pm. And best of all, it’s free. Click here to book your attendance.
Residents will have the opportunity to informally speak to a range of great causes under one roof, as well as gain valuable information about others.
Amongst the stallholders at the event will be those working in areas such as advice, arts, care, children, disability, health, education, history, heritage, neighbourhood support – to name just a few. It’s a fantastic way to get a flavour of what you could get involved with, as well as gaining an insight into the diverse groups that make our community so special, and maybe enjoy a free glass of wine too!
Whether your interest has just been piqued or you’ve already been considering some local volunteering, whether you’re in work or retired, you could be inspired.
The event is organised by the Richmond Volunteer Service. They are a team within Richmond CVS, who are here to guide you in learning about local groups that could be looking for just the skills you offer. If you’ve been looking for a really valuable way to give back to the community with your professional experience, then trusteeship might just be for you.
