Tickets for New Year’s Eve fireworks display go on sale

The final tickets for London’s famous New Year’s Eve fireworks celebrations will go on sale at midday on Monday, 2nd December. Locals and tourists alike will once again be able to line up along the banks of the Thames to welcome the new year with a stunning display of fireworks, lighting, and music, beside the iconic London Eye.

The celebrations will begin with Big Ben’s renowned chimes which will be broadcast live to millions around the world. This helps to boost the capital’s economy and help promote the city to tourism around the world. Last year’s coverage was the most watched programme in the country with millions watching online.

A first batch of tickets went on sale in October and this will be the last chance to secure a spot for the iconic display of London’s biggest night of the year. Anyone who is hoping to attend must buy their tickets from Ticketmaster, the only authorised outlet. No official tickets will be sold on any other website so if any site claims to be, it is likely a scam.

Prices of tickets have increased this year to enhance the security and crowd management for the event, as well as cover the rising costs the industry has seen.

Tickets cost between £20 and £50 depending on the viewing area and if they are being bought by someone who lives in London. Londoners will pay £15 less on each ticket booked than those living outside of the capital – meaning that they can secure tickets for a number of viewing areas at the same price as last year.

There will also be an opportunity to donate to TAP London, a charity dedicated to supporting homeless Londoners.

Those unable to secure an official ticket are encouraged to welcome in 2025 in London’s fantastic selection of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs across the capital, or watch the display live on BBC One alongside more than 12m TV viewers.

City Hall is working closely with a range of partner agencies including the Met Police, TfL, local authorities and the emergency services to deliver the event.
