P&O cancels Ventura’s 2026 Amsterdam trip and Arvia’s 2027 Med sailing, with refunds and rebooking credit

Passengers on two future sailings have been told their holidays are off, after P&O Cruises confirmed changes to its programme. Ventura’s four-night Amsterdam voyage on 23 February 2026 has been cancelled to allow extra time for a scheduled refit, and Arvia’s 14-night Spain–France–Italy itinerary due to depart 11 April 2027 has also been withdrawn. The cruise line says affected guests will receive a full refund – the latest update in a run of P&O Cruises cancellations.

Arvia will instead offer two new seven-night options, one to the Norwegian fjords, the other to Spain and France, with tickets on sale from 18 September. Passengers rebooking are being offered onboard credit of £50 per person (or £25 per person for the short Ventura sailing) if they book a new cruise by 24 October 2025.

A P&O Cruises spokesperson said operational changes are sometimes necessary and apologised to customers whose plans have been hit. Earlier this year, the line also cancelled a short Aurora sailing from Southampton when refit work overran, offering a full refund and an additional 20% future cruise credit, part of a wider effort to keep loyalty intact when schedules shift.

As with most P&O Cruises cancellations, the offer is a refund first, with incentives to rebook later. For many, the choice will come down to dates, school terms and the appeal of the new routes, particularly the fjords week that typically sells strongly for families and first-time cruisers.
