London Travel Disruptions This Weekend: What You Need to Know

As we head into a busy weekend of events and warm weather, London travel disruptions are once again on the cards. If you’re planning to use the Tube or Overground from Thursday 29th May to Sunday 1st June, it’s worth checking ahead. Several lines, including the Jubilee, Circle, and parts of the Overground, are set to close or reduce service, which could affect everything from your daily commute to your weekend outings.

The Circle line will be out of service until 4pm on Saturday, May 31. Similarly, the District and Hammersmith & City lines will be closed until 11am on the same day. The Jubilee line faces a full closure until 11am on Saturday, followed by a partial closure between Waterloo and Stanmore for the remainder of the weekend.

Additionally, the section between Aldgate and Watford will be closed throughout the weekend. The Waterloo & City line remains closed for the weekend, resuming service at 6am on Monday.

The DLR will not operate between Beckton and Prince Regent on both Saturday and Sunday. Replacement buses will serve the affected stations, including Royal Albert, Beckton Park, Cyprus, and Gallions Reach.

On the London Overground, the Mildmay line will see no service between Camden Road and Stratford over the weekend. Trains between Willesden Junction and Camden Road will run every 15 minutes. The Windrush line will be closed between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction, with replacement buses operating via Canada Water, Queens Road Peckham, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill, Clapham High Street, and Wandsworth Road.
