Early finish for Cadent Gas works in Wood Lane
Wood Lane has fully reopened after Cadent Gas announces an early finish for its “urgent” gas works. The upgrades to the main pipe have been completed a week ahead of schedule. Work on the junction of Wood Lane, Scrubs Lane, and North Pole Road were completed on Friday 12th December. The early finish means all temporary traffic are now being removed from the junction.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council says it has been informed by Cadent Gas that its gas pipes in the area needed to be urgently upgraded. To “help minimise disruption for local people,” the council “insisted” that the gas company completed the work as quickly as it possibly can.
The council says that it has closely monitored the works over the course of the project and has encouraged the gas company to complete it early. The company has done that, with an early finish a week ahead of schedule, allowing the roads to reopen and reducing the impact on residents in the area.
