Students across the City of London Academies have been celebrating a remarkable set of A-Level results, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys. These results reflect the dedication and hard work of both students and staff across the academies in Hackney, Islington, Newham, and Southwark, all part of the City of London Academies Trust. The success achieved this year is not only a testament to the individual students but also to the quality of education provided across these academies.

Meanwhile, the City of London Academy Highgate Hill celebrated an exceptional first set of A-Level results, with 57% of students achieving grades A* to A and 85% securing A* to B grades. Principal Prince Gennuh, beaming with pride, said, “This has been a remarkable journey for our students. Their success today is well-deserved, and it’s inspiring to see how they have overcome challenges to achieve such impressive results.” He continued, “This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible efforts of our teaching staff and the strong support from our community.

At the City of London Academy Islington, students celebrated a strong performance with 45% achieving grades A* to B, and an overall pass rate of 99% across all A Levels. Headteacher Sonia Jacob expressed her pride in the students’ achievements, stating, “Our students have demonstrated exceptional resilience and determination over the past two years. These results are a true reflection of their hard work and the unwavering support from our dedicated staff.” She added, “I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished and am confident they will continue to thrive in whatever path they choose next.”

The City of London Academy Highbury Grove also delivered strong results, with 30% of grades ranging from A* to B. Headteacher Aimee Lyall noted the hard work and commitment required to achieve these outcomes, saying, “These results are a testament to the students’ dedication and the high standards we set at Highbury Grove. I’m thrilled to see so many of our students achieving their goals and ready to take the next steps in their lives.” She also took a moment to acknowledge the team effort, adding, “Our teachers have worked tirelessly to support our students, and today’s success is shared by everyone in our school community.”

A day of celebration was also seen at the City of London Academy Southwark (CoLAS), where students achieved the best A-Level results in the school’s history. With a 26% pass rate at grades A* to A, a 59.5% pass rate at grades A* to B, and 83% at grades A* to C, CoLAS has set a new benchmark for academic excellence. Headteacher Michael Baxter praised his students, saying, “We always knew this year group was special, but today they’ve surpassed even our high expectations. Their hard work and ambition have paid off in spectacular fashion.” He added, “These results are not just numbers; they represent the future opportunities now open to our students, many of whom are heading to some of the country’s top universities.”

Finally, students at the City of London Academy Shoreditch Park celebrated their first-ever A-Level results, achieving a 93% pass rate at grades A* to C.
