Axel Scheffler Hosts Live Events in Twickenham to Support Habitats & Heritage

On Saturday, 30th November, beloved illustrator Axel Scheffler, known worldwide for his charming characters in The Gruffalo and Stick Man, will host two exclusive live events in Twickenham, all in support of the local conservation charity, Habitats & Heritage. This family-friendly event promises to inspire young readers as Scheffler reads from his latest creation, Jonty Gentoo – the Adventures of a Penguin, a heartwarming tale he co-authored with Julia Donaldson, as well as revisiting the much-loved The Gruffalo and Stick Man.
Adding to the excitement, Alex Scheffler will create live drawings of these iconic characters, giving attendees a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process. These unique drawings will be auctioned following the performances, offering fans a rare chance to own an original piece of Alex Scheffler’s artwork. The event will conclude with a book signing session for books purchased on the day, making it a wonderful opportunity to pick up signed, personalised gifts for Christmas. Held at St Stephen’s Church in Twickenham, the event is set to be a memorable experience for families and a meaningful way to support a charity dedicated to preserving local nature and heritage.
