Applications now open for Grenfell Projects Fund

The Grenfell Projects Fund (GPF) is back, offering £600k worth of grants to support North Kensington’s community-led recovery. If you’re a North Kensington community organiser or provider, the GPF is your chance to create a project that responds to the needs of your community.
Applications are now open for community providers and organisations who already run or want to develop and deliver a project that meets one of the three grant themes, bringing the North Kensington community together, community-based cultural enrichment, caring for the most vulnerable
Almost 100 projects have been funded by the GPF to date
The GPF was launched back in 2019 and has funded almost 100 projects in that time. Some of the projects have included a youth fitness training and mentoring project, child play and development sessions, arts and crafts workshops, boxing lessons and a social support group to improve resident wellbeing.
The GPF has been co-designed with the North Kensington Residents’ Panel for the last few years and they have once again been instrumental in shaping this latest fund. They bring a range of perspectives and have worked to champion the community’s voice in the grant’s design as well as build on the previous GPFs to further long-term recovery.
Working together with the Council, the panel have developed the GPF 2024/25 looking at the criteria, themes, priorities and methods of shortlisting and voting on applications.
Applications to be shortlisted by residents’ panel
Once all applications have been received, the Residents’ Panel will shortlist the successful applications, and North Kensington residents will then get a chance to vote on this shortlist. The council will be providing further information on how you can do this nearer the time.
